From Brooklyn, New York, Johnson began his dance training at Eliot Feld’s Ballet Tech Program. Throughout his 10 years there, he had the honor of performing works by Eliot Feld, Brain Brooks, and Julia Eichten at the beautiful Joyce Theater and many other NYC venues. Completing his education at Ballet Tech, Johnson continued his learnings at the Conservatory of Dance at SUNY Purchase. There he performed works by Jose Limón, Rena Butler, and Eve Chan, and learning Graham and Cunningham repertories. Shortly before graduating with a BFA degree in dance performance, Johnson joined the Limón dance company in 2021. Outside of rehearsing and performing with Limón, Johnson has worked with Adam Weinert on a Ted Shawn reconstruction in 2022 and has performed with Ballet Tech as a guest artist in 2023.
